Praying the Christmas Novena! Day 1 - Christmas Novena

Peace be with you!

Praying the Christmas Novena!

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

This novena will be dedicated to praying for an end to abortion, and for greater respect for the dignity of all human life!

When contemplating the birth of our Savior and preparing for Christmas, it is a great time to pray for an end to abortion. After all, Christ came to us as a humble and vulnerable baby in the womb.

You can share your prayer intentions with us all here. We're praying for you.

Here are the prayers for today:

Day 1 - Christmas Novena

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O Lord, Word of God, You, whose glory is complete, came to us in perfect humility as a child in the womb. Your love for us and Your humility is unsurpassed and brings us to our knees in prayer and worship.

Your incarnation forever changed the world.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end.

Amen.

O Lord, infant Jesus, fill us with Joy! The birth of any child is a cause for joy and so much more is the birth of You, our Savior. We pray in union with Mary, Your mother, for a greater joy this Christmas.

We also pray for these intentions… (State your intentions here)

May Your Holy Will be done in my life and with these intentions.

We pray that the work of salvation that Your first coming began will reach fulfillment in each of us.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.

Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Thank you for praying with us!

We are praying for you!

God bless you!

Word for today: Verse: Luke 1:35

 Word for today:

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Verse:   Luke 1:35

"The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come on you (Mary), and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God."

- At this wonderful time of the year we celebrate the birth of the Son of God.
- That first Christmas still reverberates through all of history.
- Mary experienced the mighty hand of God on her life and everything changed.
- May the Holy Spirit come on you and may God ‘overshadow’ you with His love.

PRAYER: Lord, today I want to pause and recognise the significance of this time. Holy Spirit, come upon me, and may Your power come and overshadow me so that the joy of Your birth will become an eternal reality for me. Amen.

Kind Regards

Word for today: Verse: John 15:11

Word for today:

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Verse:   John 15:11
‘I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.’

- The Lord wants His joy to be a living reality in your life.
- He comes to bring His joy into our hearts and our situations.
- He does not want us to be burdened with fear and doubt.
- He wants us to know His presence and His joy in our lives.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You that real joy is not found in external circumstances, but it is found in my relationship with You. Help me not to look to my circumstances for my joy, but may I find my joy in You. Amen.

Word for today: Verse: John 11:40

Word for today: Verse:   John 11:40

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Then Jesus said, ‘Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?’

- As we travel the journey of life our faith is often tested.

- We pass through situations that can feel so unwanted and even unnecessary.

- Sometimes all we can do is simply hold onto God and His Word.

- His promise is that if we believe we will see the glory of God.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You that I can hold onto You and to Your promises regardless of the storms that come my way. You are the One Who works all things out for my good and I believe that I will see Your glory in my life. Amen.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Kind Regards

Word for today:

Verse:   Philippians 3:12

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me".

- In this verse, we are encouraged to press on and to keep moving forward.

- The Lord has made you His very Own so you can step forward with confidence.

- Pressing on in spite of challenges is part of our journey.

- Let go of the past and of the distractions and keep pressing on.

PRAYER: Lord, with Your help I choose to press on and keep moving forward. You are with me and You will give me the strength that I need so I press on and look forward to what You have in store for me. Amen.

Have a blessed Tuesday.

Word for today: Verse: Psalm 31:7

Word for today:

Verse:   Psalm 31:7
Dear brothers  Sisters

‘I will be glad and rejoice in Your unfailing love, for You have seen my troubles, and You care about the anguish of my soul.’

- There is nothing that you are going through that God does not know about.
- Instead of anguish and sadness, He wants to fill you with His joy.
- Think about His unfailing love instead of focusing on the negative.
- He knows, He cares, He loves you and He will be faithful to you.

PRAYER: Lord, how wonderful it is to know that You know everything about me and You care for me. I choose to find joy in Your enduring love and I know that You are watching over me. Amen.

Have a great week.

Immaculate Conception Prayer

Peace be with you!

Let's pray today for the willingness to sacrifice for the sake of growing closer to Jesus.

Christ gave us two great commandments. Love God. Love others as you love yourself. It's certainly not easy. Love requires sacrifice, so we must be willing to sacrifice. That's why we need the Blessed Mother's prayers and God's grace! Let's pray for it.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

O most pure Virgin Mary conceived without sin, from the very first instant, you were entirely immaculate. O glorious Mary full of grace, you are the mother of my God – the Queen of Angels and of men. I humbly venerate you as the chosen mother of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Prince of Peace and the Lord of Lords chose you for the singular grace and honor of being His beloved mother. By the power of His Cross, He preserved you from all sin. Therefore, by His power and love, I have hope and bold confidence in your prayers for my holiness and salvation.

I pray that your prayers will bring me to imitate your holiness and submission to Jesus and the Divine Will.

Queen of Heaven, I beg you to beg my Savior to grant me these requests…

(Mention your intentions)

My holy Mother, I know that you were obedient to the will of God. In making this petition, I know that God’s will is more perfect than mine. So, grant that I may receive God’s grace with humility as you did.

As my final request, I ask that you pray for me to increase in faith in our risen Lord; I ask that you pray for me to increase in hope in our risen Lord; I ask that you pray for me to increase in love for the risen Jesus!

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Thank you for praying

Praying for you!

God bless you!

Happy Feast...
